Alyssa Morrison is a Kinesiology graduate of the University of Calgary, Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Functional Range Mobility Specialist.  Alyssa currently works as a S&C Coach at the Duckett Performance Center/Edge Sports School and Vergie Speed. Over the past seven years of her career, she has been fortunate enough to work with a variety of athletes spanning from developing youth athletes to professionals. While at U of C, Alyssa spent a year working as intern S&C coach with the Calgary Flames. She has worked with athletes and teams from hockey, ringette, soccer, basketball, and track to name a few.  Because of her interests and breadth of knowledge, she does not specialize in one sport, and instead works with the individual or team to understand their sport needs and develop a training plan in conjunction with their goals. Outside of coaching - you can find her planning her next hiking adventure or playing with her new pup Koby.

Each session will be composed of the following format with a variety of skating specific activities:
  • Warm up - "world's greatest stretch"
  • Mobility/balance
  • Core training
  • Plyometrics/power development
  • Body weight strength training (upper body pulls and lower body push)
  • Metabolic upper body finisher
  • Cool down/stretch

Equipment Needed:
  • No workout equipment
  • running shoes
  • workout attire
  • water bottle
  • a flat 5-10m space
  • mat (optional)   
  • computer/iPad
  • Wear your Current Team Swag - Jersey, T-Shirt, etc
  • Be ready to work and have fun!
