DETAILS:
  • Games will begin Friday Aug. 13, 2019
  • Gold/Bronze Medal Game
  • U13-U11 (2009-2012)  
  • 4 Teams per division
  • U11 Major Division = 5 games including finals
  • U13 Minor/Major Divisions = 5 games including finals
  • Pub Night: Saturday, August 14th (TDB if restrictions allow)
  • Silent Auction: ALL silent auction monies will be donated to a local charitable organization (TBD)
  • Includes Jersey and Socks 

Given the uncertainty of the current climate and restrictions we are cautiously optimistic that we will be able to run the tournament in August. Having said that, we appreciate the pressures on families and local businesses, so we have made the decision to scale back on a number of items, which we feel is appropriate and responsible. 

  • We will NOT be asking for donations/paid sponsorships - the past 11 months have been damaging to the small business in the community.
  • We WILL offer free sponsorship (jerseys logos and weekend recognition for businesses in the community) - or anything we can do to help promote businesses. Please contact us for free sponsorship opportunities.
  • We will NOT be running a number of raffles/50/50 or WestJet ticket sales. 
  • We MAY have a pub night - if it is safe and we are permitted to do so
  • We MAY NOT do the sublimated jerseys this year due to potential uncertainty in August
  • We MAY run a Silent Auction (TBD) to support local small businesses

Insurance Hurricane Hockey Club, Hurricane Academy, Hurricane Powerskating, and Hurricane Ringette carries full accident/liability insurance for its players and coaches during on-ice/off-ice skills/conditioning, practices, games and tournaments.

Flexible Payment Options We understand the cost of sport and would hate for that to get in the way, so feel free to contact us about flexible payment options. All payments are accepted through FrontOfficeHockey (Secure Credit Card. Additional fees apply)

Covid-19 Protocols/Policies We will have a rigorous Covid Policy, guidelines, and procedures in place that will be in line with the most recent AHS Guidelines, City of Calgary Protocols/Policies, Arena Protocols/Policies, and Government of Alberta Protocols/Policies. We will present these prior to the Spring based on the most up to date information we have.

COVID-19 Spring/Summer/Fall/Winter Cancellation Policy If any Hurricane Spring Hockey/Ringette camps or Hurricane Summer Hockey/Ringette camps are cancelled due to Covid-19 and/or arena closures that are out of our control, a refund will be applied back to the original form of payment within 10 business days, minus a 5% admin fee to cover operating costs/third party online processing fees to date (FrontOffice Hockey/Stripe.com processing fees). Any Jersey/Apparel ordered specific to the program will be deducted from the refund and can be picked up by the registrant (date, time, location TBD)

Participant Initiated SPRING Cancellation Policy Each Participant may cancel their Hurricane Spring Hockey/Ringette camp registration up until January 31st, 2021. Each individual cancelled camp is subject to a $60.00 administration fee per camp. Refunds are applied back to the original form of payment within 10 business days. Hurricane Spring Hockey/Ringette camp registrations cancelled by participants after January 31, 2021 are not eligible for refunds or credits. No Exceptions.

Participant Initiated SUMMER Cancellation Policy Each Participant may cancel their Hurricane Summer Hockey/Ringette camp registration up until May 31st, 2021. Each individual cancelled camp is subject to a $60.00 administration fee per camp. Refunds are applied back to the original form of payment within 10 business days. Hurricane Spring Hockey/Ringette camp registrations cancelled by participants after May 31st, 2021 are not eligible for refunds or credits. No Exceptions.
